I have the honour to say that I examined Miss H. E. Williams on October 20 and in reply to questions she informed me of her relatives and stated that the only illnesses she had suffered from were Scarlet fever as a child and dysentery (slight) in 1916. Beyond this she had undergone an operation for appendicitis in 1910.

Examination

I found no abnormal condition or disqualification for service. The operation had left no disability. On examination there were no signs of any tubercular condition, more especially as the lung appeared to be sound. It would seem from the medical certificate forwarded to me that the tuberculosis developed subsequently.
